Black Women’s Writing Society

Founded by Ebony Chappel and Tamara Winfrey-Harris, The Black Women’s Writing Society is a collective of sisters who share a love for the written word. Poets, playwrights, essayists and storytellers--we gather on the second Tuesday of every month, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. EST. We welcome all cis / trans women and nonbinary Black writers. Sessions include time for writing, education and sharing.

Featured guests have included Deesha Philyaw, Paula Ashe, Faith Adiele, Patrice Grell Yursik, A'Lelia Bundles, Rochelle Riley, Ashley C. Ford and others.
